Rituals & Services
Eight ceremonies, each performed at Gaya Ji's sacred ghats and temples according to the sequence tradition prescribes — and explained clearly before it begins.
Pind Daan
The central ancestral rite performed at Gaya Ji — offerings of rice-flour balls (pinda) made on behalf of one's ancestors to help them attain liberation (moksha). Pt. Ankit Ji performs this at the sacred ghats and at Vishnupad Temple, following the exact sequence of sankalp, offering and closing prayer that tradition requires.
Tarpan
The offering of water to one's ancestors, performed at the banks of the Falgu river. Pt. Ankit Ji talks a family through the correct posture, the mantra, and the timing before the first offering is made, so the ritual feels familiar rather than intimidating.
Shraddh
Memorial rites performed in remembrance of departed ancestors, typically on death anniversaries or during Pitru Paksha. Pt. Ankit Ji conducts Shraddh with attention to the specific tithi (lunar date) relevant to your family.
Narayan Bali
A specialised rite performed for those who died in unnatural or untimely circumstances — accident, suicide, or an early death — offering peace to a soul tradition holds to be unsettled. This is a more elaborate ceremony, and Pt. Ankit Ji will discuss your family's specific situation before confirming dates.
Kaal Sarp Dosh Nivaran
A remedial rite for those whose horoscope shows Kaal Sarp Dosh, performed to reduce its believed effects. Pt. Ankit Ji will ask for your birth chart details ahead of time so the ritual can be prepared correctly.
Pitru Paksha Rituals
Ancestral rites performed during the fortnight tradition holds most auspicious for Pind Daan — usually falling in September–October. This is Pt. Ankit Ji's busiest period; families are encouraged to reach out several weeks ahead to secure preferred dates.
Pitru Dosh Nivaran
Pitru Dosh is said to appear in a birth chart when the position of the Sun, Rahu, Ketu or Saturn points to an unresolved ancestral debt — often linked by tradition to delayed marriage, difficulty having children, financial instability or recurring family conflict. Pt. Ankit Ji reviews your kundli to confirm the dosh, then performs Pind Daan, Tarpan and a dedicated puja at Vishnupad Temple as the scripture-prescribed remedy. Tripindi Shraddh
Tripindi Shraddh is traditionally performed for three generations of ancestors — father, grandfather and great-grandfather — together with the corresponding maternal lineage. Pt. Ankit Ji recommends it particularly for families facing persistent household conflict, repeated delays in marriage or work, or difficulties believed to be linked to Pitru Dosh or an unsettled spirit (pret badha). It is also chosen by families who want to ensure no ancestor has been overlooked in past rituals.
Describe your situation — Pt. Ankit Ji will advise.
