Pt. Ankit Ji was trained in the Vedic tradition passed down through Gaya Ji's priestly families, and has spent over a decade performing Pind Daan, Tarpan and Shraddh at the ghats and at Vishnupad Temple.
Comfortable guiding families in Hindi, English or Bengali, he works often with NRI families and second-generation visitors who want the ritual done correctly, explained clearly, without either being compromised.

Before you call
Yes. The ritual itself follows Sanskrit and Hindi tradition, but Pt. Ankit Ji explains every step in clear English throughout — a common need for NRI families and visitors less familiar with the process. He is also comfortable in Bengali.
Two to three weeks' notice is comfortable, especially during Pitru Paksha when temple timings are busiest. Last-minute requests are accommodated where possible — call or WhatsApp to check availability.
Most families complete the core rites in 1 to 3 days, depending on family tradition and the specific rituals chosen. Pt. Ankit Ji will give a clear estimate on your first call.
Most samagri is arranged locally. Bring simple white or light-coloured clothing, a photograph of the deceased if you have one, and the names/details of the ancestors the ritual is for. A full checklist is shared before your visit.
Cost depends on the rituals chosen, number of days, and samagri required. Pt. Ankit Ji quotes clearly on the first call, with no hidden add-ons at the ghat.
